FAQs

Can I have a Japanese Head Spa if I have hair extensions?

Unfortunately no. Our Japanese Head Spa treatments are not suitable for clients with hair extension, as the specialist cleansing techniques, scalp massage and tools may affect the extension bonds.

The good news is that we have extension specialists who can professionally remove and refit your extensions. Many of our clients choose to book their Head Spa treatment during their extension maintenance appointment, allowing them to enjoy the full benefits of the treatment before having their extensions refitted.

Can I have a Head Spa if I have coloured hair?

Yes, our treatments are safe for coloured hair. We do recommend waiting at least 48 hours after a colour service before having a Head Spa.

Will it help with dandruff or an itchy scalp?

A Head Spa can help remove build-up and soothe the scalp, but it is not a medical treatment.

How often should I have a Head Spa?

For ongoing scalp health, we recommend every 4-6 weeks , although this can vary depending on your scalp’s needs.

Should I wash my hair before my appointment?

No. Please arrive with dry, unwashed hair if possible so we can accurately assess your scalp.

Do I need to remove my makeup?

No, but we recommend minimal makeup as the treatment involves water, steam and massage around the forehead and hairline.

Will my hair be dried afterwards?

Yes. After your treatment, you hair will be gently towel dried.

For our Luxury Head Spa, we’ll finish by blasting the roots and lengths to remove excess moisture, leaving your hair comfortable to leave the salon.

Our Ultimate Head Spa includes a professional blow dry , so you’ll leave with your hair beautifully finished and styled.

Can I book with a friend?

Absolutely! While treatments are carried out individually in our private Head Spa room, many clients enjoy booking back-to-back appointments with friends and family.
